Shalas’áaw is the name for deer with antlers in Tlingit language. It is
recognized as a peaceful and calm animal. Shalas’áaw is a symbol of
peace in Tlingit Ceremonies. The Shalas’áaw feasts on blueberries, lives
and travels through the rainforest by moonlight.
