Recently Alaska state law changed such that passenger vehicles no longer require official state license plates on the front. From Alaska DMV website "Alaska law requires you to display one license plate on the back of all passenger vehicles, motorcycles, motorhomes, trucks, vans, trailers, and APV's."
With this change Trickster is delighted to introduce License Plates with art designs that can be used in lieu of official front plates. Many other states have this same allowance.
These aluminum License Plates come in designs that include Summer Salmon, Eagle Raven Tessellation, Raven Moon and Salmon Tessellation. To improve durability, especially on Alaska's rugged road conditions, the design on each License Plate is covered in a clear lamination. A matching silicone license plate frame (not included) is recommended to enhance appearance and protect the License Plate edges.
Update: After months of testing and prototyping our Raven Moon License Plates we are proud to offer this new special design. You can see in one of the pictures here that we expect these License Plates to survive Alaska's harsh winters! Our first version was potted with hundreds of small holes in the design due to all the rocks and sand on the tough Alaskan roads. These new ones are durable and thus far have ZERO dings in the design. Have fun winter driving and be safe! Cheers!
