In August 2022, artist Crystal Worl painted a mural on Dena'Ina land/Anchorage, Alaska at the corner of G Street and 7th Avenue, overlooking City Hall.
Crystal sought to create a piece celebrating all of the vastly different Indigenous peoples who live in Alaska, and what we have in common: our respect for the land. The mural features the animals whose migratory life cycles are the basis of our own subsistence lifestyles, as well as animals local to the southcentral Alaska.
Gunalchéesh to the owners of the building, Larry and Barbara Cash of Rim Architects; the Anchorage Museum; APU; the Alaska Mural Project; and the Anchorage Downtown Partnership for teaming up to make this happen!
Designed and hand signed by Crystal Worl.
